I have been following your program as closely as possible for about 7 months now. Although I am far from my goal of Level 2, I am already seeing great results. My reason for writing is first and foremost to thank you so very much. I just got my cholesterol blood work back and it is all within normal ranges. Last time I had blood work done, my doctor strongly suggested getting on medication because although I ate well before starting your program and my weight is normal, my numbers were dangerously high. The doctor told me that medication was designed for people just like me for whom dieting alone would not make a difference since I eat better than most people coming in his office. He said it’s just hereditary in my case and I have no choice but to go on medication. He also said not to bother using diet alone because it’s highly unusual for cholesterol to go down in a big way without medication. That is when I started my search for an ideal diet. For many years now I thought I was eating great, but when I analyzed my past eating habits, I realized that it was far from ideal. I ate out a lot with my husband and ate regular non-raw sweets when I went out and cheated a lot on my regular diet and then exercised frantically to keep my weight down. When I saw my great blood-work numbers, I was sold. I decided that’s it–I found the answer. Now I want to go all the way with this. Your program is the easiest eating program I have ever been on and so much fun. Although I don’t exercise as much any more, I have finally lost those last stubborn 7 or 8 pounds that I’ve been battling with for years and years.

Last September I moved back to the US after having lived in France for over 20 years. I had a wonderful, but very high-powered, stressful lifestyle. As part of my transition to NYC, I had been looking to improve my health through diet and exercise. I read all your books, amongst others.
I have always had “gut” issues. Therefore I was particularly interested in what you had to say. I adopted many of your dietary suggestions and have been doing colonics at LYT on a weekly basis. This lead to the discovery that I had a very invasive parasite (now gone).
I take this all as a process. I used to love Michelin-starred restaurants, etc. As much as I still enjoy good food, I am mostly disappointed in these restaurants. Meanwhile, I love the food at Pure Food and Wine, joined a CSA, etc.
As my son will be at camp in July, it is an ideal time for me to do a fast. Therefore, I was glad to read your blog, because I wasn’t completely comfortable with taking on a fast which excluded most nutrients.
In Paris I have several close friends with whom I would normally discuss my ideas and thoughts. I sincerely thank you for being a knowing and sincere source of information during my transition. I hope one day soon I may consult with you in person.
