The purpose of this guide is to help you gear up for this cleansing journey. We want you to feel completely prepared and supported with all the tools and information you will need. Preparation is essential to a successful cleanse, and the ongoing support you will receive from our team and the global Rose Cleanse community via our Virtual Living Room will prove to be your greatest ally. When approached methodically and mindfully, this 30-day cleanse (60 day total experience including pre-cleanse prep and post-cleanse integration) provides a lovely time of self-exploration. There’s a good chance that you will be so pleased with the physical and emotional strides you make that you will want to adopt this dietary lifestyle forever. With this in mind, the following step-by-step instructions will help to make this the best possible experience for you.We will make recommendations on (a) how to stock your kitchen, (b) which cleansing tools and resources you may want to invest in, and (c) which types of activities will best support you emotionally and mentally. Everyone has slightly different tastes and cleansing styles, which tend to evolve over the course of a cleanse, so take in our suggestions with an open mind and adopt the ideas that resonate with you.
Step 1: If you have not already, read The Rose Cleanse eBook in its entirety.
In these pages, we explain the full program in detail, including its underlying philosophy. Reading and internalizing the contents of the whole guide before embarking on your cleanse will take the guesswork out of the process and let you begin with confidence. Please keep in mind that the Rose Cleanse eBook outlines a 7-day cleanse, but we will be extending this to a 30-day cleanse. In addition, we provide time for pre-cleanse preparation and post-cleanse integration making the entire experience 60 days. The actual Cleanse duration of 30 days is enough time to see radical positive shifts in your total being, physically, mentally and emotionally-and this is the goal!
Step 2: Plan your juicing.
Daily vegetable juice is one of the major cornerstones to this program. Therefore, you will need your own juicer or access to fresh-pressed vegetable juice daily. We recommend the Breville Juicer for easy, delicious homemade juice. Fresh-pressed juice bars are also popping up all over the world, so you may be able to find a reliable source for your daily juices locally. You can expect to consume between 32 and 64 ounces of juice per day (this equates to two to four 16-ounce bottles or pints of juice per day).
In addition, if you haven’t already, you will want to start incorporating juicing into your daily regimen as many days before the cleanse as you can. This way, you will become comfortable with the new dietary rhythm and you will have a chance to explore your juicing preferences, in terms of taste and quantity.
It is also a good idea to see if you can get comfortable consuming only fresh-pressed juice until lunch, and then attempt to juice until dinner for a few days as well. For this cleanse, you will be juicing until dinner for 30 days, so practicing beforehand will help you to identify your areas of vulnerability. For example, perhaps you tend to experience strong food cravings at a certain time of day or in a certain type of social situation. The more you can anticipate the times that will be challenging for you, the better prepared you can be with a plan to help you through the rough spots.
Remember, you are not actually starving when you juice until dinner-technically, you are not even fasting! Any discomfort you feel is your body’s desire for stimulation and attachment to your old eating patterns, not an actual illness or weakness. Your body will adjust to the new rhythm after a few days of juicing until dinner, and rest assured, it will get easier and easier the longer you do it and the cleaner your body becomes.
Step 3: Stock your kitchen.
Plan for how you will get your produce for juicing and for your nightly salads and vegetable-centric meals. You may want to coordinate with a local farm or a company that delivers local organic produce to your door. You might simply designate certain days of the week for shopping and predetermine how much produce you will need for the next several days. Remember, you will want plenty of vegetables for juicing, preparing salads, steaming, roasting and raw snacking. Here is a list of our favorite pantry items to have on hand to make this experience pleasurable for the palate.
Recommended Grocery List
- Your favorite veggies for steaming (broccoli and spinach are great staples)
- Grape tomatoes (great for making simple salads more delicious)
- Carrots (for juicing and to enjoy raw before dinner)
- Celery (for juicing and to enjoy raw before dinner)

- Cucumbers (great for filling out juices with their high-water content)

- Sweet potatoes (for cooking, but also delicious peeled, sliced thinly, and eaten raw)
- Mixed greens and herbs (great for quick, easy salads)
- Onions
- Garlic
- Ginger
- Lemons
- High-quality marinara sauce (Seeds of Change, Tuscan Tomato & Garlic is our favorite).

- Curry powder
- Nama Shoyu soy sauce

The evening salads and meals you will be enjoying will be very simple to prepare, but you may want to invest in a few handy kitchen tools to make food prep that much easier. These are the tools we find the most helpful, but keep in mind that they are not mandatory and you can make wonderful meals with or without them:
Recommended Prep Tools
- Great vegetable slicer (we recommend the Titan Peeler that comes with a julienne and a flat blade option)
- Mandolin (for thinly slicing sweet potatoes and other veggies)
- Spiralizer (for making noodles out of sweet potatoes, zucchini, or other produce)
- Sushi mat (for making nori rolls)
You may refer to any of Natalia’s books (especially Detox 4 Women) to help plan out your weekly menus. We have also included some great recipes for juices and cleansing dinners here and in the Virtual Living Room. In addition, many of your peers who have participated in past Cleanses have entered their favorite recipes into the Chat Forum in the Virtual Living Room. We encourage you to check those out and post your favorites as you discover them!
Step 4: Prepare for chi-generating activities and time to honor yourself.
You will not need a formal exercise plan during the 30-day cleanse. However, it is best to plan on some type of chi-generating activity every day. This can be as simple as walking, biking, jumping on your rebounder, or taking a yoga or dance class. There is no prescribed length of time for these activities, but you will find that the cleaner you get, the more you will look forward to doing them.
Also note that if you already have an exercise routine that you love, you should be able to continue to enjoy it throughout the 30-day cleanse without any issues. Many people actually feel stronger and more energized during this cleanse. Just be sure to honor and listen to your body, and reduce your output if your body is telling you to ease up or slow down.
It is also very important to take time to honor yourself in other ways. If you love baths, get some Epsom salts to soak in and light some candles for a soothing atmosphere. This is also a great time to honor your skin by creating a nightly skincare regimen. Pay attention to the products you use. Most of the expensive products that look so tempting at department stores contain extremely toxic ingredients and will end up doing more harm than good in the long run. You do not need to spend a lot of money to take proper care of your skin. You can use a natural soap or cleansing milk (we like the South of France brand of soap but you can use any all-natural soap or cleansing milk) as a facial cleanser and vitamin E for moisturizing. Vitamin E comes in capsule form (you can just open the capsule and squeeze out the Vitamin E) or as a serum, which you can apply to your face, neck, and décolletage every night. You’ll love the glow it gives you! (You can purchase natural soaps and vitamin E capsules or serums at any health food store or via our online site).
As you allow your body to self-cleanse during this 30-day period, you will probably notice that many toxic emotions will also come to the surface. It is important to allow them to surface, process them, and release them. Journal writing, meditation, and self-reflection will be wonderful tools to help you work through this aspect of cleansing. You may want to purchase a beautiful journal and create a clean, lovely space in which to write daily. We encourage you to write about what is happening to you not only physically but also personally-what you notice about your behavior, your moods, how you feel in certain settings, what you observe socially, and what you can take away from this process.
Inspirational, thought-provoking reading materials-in book form or on audio-are also wonderful to have on hand during this time. All of our recommended reading materials will help you to continue the process of self-exploration and awakening.
Step 5: Devise a plan for engaging your “release” tools.
There are two essential steps to intelligent cleansing: (1) awaken acidic waste matter in the body; and (2) release that waste matter through the eliminative organs. Because the bowel is the most effective organ at releasing waste matter, we highly encourage you to engage in either colon hydrotherapy with a professional colon hydrotherapist (we recommend the Woods Gravity Method) or enemas throughout the four weeks of the cleanse. For best results, you will want to plan on at least one colonic per week. You may also want to schedule a colonic right before the cleanse starts and shortly after it ends. You can check out our list of certified colon hydrotherapists to see if there is one near you. Also, many of the colon hydrotherapists on our list are offering special deals for participants of the Guided Rose Cleanse, so make sure you mention this program!
If you do not have access to a certified colon hydrotherapist, you can utilize a Cara enema kit for at-home use. You will need to plan on at least two enemas per week during the four weeks of the cleanse. In addition, you will probably want to perform at least one enema before the cleanse starts and one after it ends.
(For more detailed reading on “awakening” and “releasing” waste, see The Rose Cleanse eBook and all of Natalia’s books).
Step 6: Look at your social calendar and be prepared!
You should be able to enjoy all of your regular social activities during the cleanse. Weddings, restaurant dining, travel-it is all possible with a little preparation. Most restaurants post their menus online, so take advantage of this and familiarize yourself with the options before you go. See our recommendations for eating out at any kind of restaurant.
If you will be going to a restaurant with few cleanse-friendly options, and you are fully initiated and inclined to bring some of your own options – know you are in good company! Many of us have mastered the art of gracefully bringing along some of our must-haves to ensure we have a fully satisfying restaurant experience (e.g. stevia to add with a squeeze of lemon to our salad dressing, a few olives for an appetizer, a piece of dark chocolate for dessert!) You will probably receive some comments from friends or coworkers, but remember that you are doing this for your own good-and most people will envy your discipline and determination in undertaking this cleanse, whether they admit it or not! Bring a baggie filled with greens to make a bland salad more appealing, or bring goat cheese slices, olives, and thinly sliced raw sweet potatoes to enjoy before dinner is served. We are not suggesting you do this in place of ordering something at the restaurant, just offering this as an option to ensure that you are able to make yourself a completely satisfying option!
If you will be traveling during the thirty days, be sure to plan ahead for your juices. See our travel recommendations.
Step 7: Plan your reading and audio-listening time.
We recommend that you read the lessons and listen to the audios as they are suggested within each week (e.g. read Week 1 Lesson and listen to the 2 Week 1 audios during the first week of your cleanse). The materials are designed to help you understand what is happening within your body and in your life as you progress along the 30 days.
The lessons and audios are packed with relevant and extremely helpful information. Make sure you set time aside to read all lessons and listen to all audios in their entirety (lessons will take approximately 20 minutes to read and there are two, 90 minute audios per week). Previous cleansers have reported great benefit from listening to Natalia and the NRI team as well as hearing the questions, answers, and experiences from their fellow cleansers.
Step 8: Mark your calendar for the live calls that will take place within your 60 day experience!
In addition to all of the recorded audios, we are offering Live Q&A calls every other Thursday at 6:00 EST. You will find that most or all of your questions will be answered in the recorded audios but if there is anything that you would like to ask directly to the team, we are here for you! The discussion forum and/or the Live Q&A calls are the place to get your questions asked.
You will need to register for the Live Calls – you can do so by clicking on the link in the Living Room titled “Live Q&A Calls.” This link will also include a schedule for all of the upcoming calls. Calls are recorded so if your schedule does not permit your live attendance, you will be able to listen to the recording at your convenience.
Step 9: Get ready for the new you!
As layers of waste and obstruction are removed from your physical and emotional bodies, a new you will be unveiled. You will shed unwanted pounds, generate more beautiful skin, experience greater mental clarity, and feel more attractive both inside and out. This is going to be a phenomenal adventure and you will be amazed at the results!
We are so excited you are joining us on this journey, and again, we thank you for trusting us to guide you. It is going to be an incredibly insightful, inspiring, and transformational month. We look forward to hearing from you on our live calls and on our discussion forum, via the Rose Cleanse Virtual Living Room!
