Girls’ Reproductive Systems Running Amok!

I recently wrote the following piece for Get Fresh! magazine and wanted to share it with you in light of the disturbing (but inevitable) realities regarding this generation of young girls reaching puberty significantly younger (averaging ages 8-12)! If you haven’t read the stats already, this piece from the Los Angeles Times sums it up: http://www.latimes.com/health/boostershots/la-heb-girls-puberty-early-20110412,0,2227227.story

Now for the article I wrote for Get Fresh! (in this month’s issue)…

I’m a girl and by me that’s only great
I am proud that my silhouette is curvy
that I walk with a sweet and girlish gait
With my hips kind of swivelly and swervy…

—from “I Enjoy Being a Girl” By Rodgers & Hammerstein

It’s hard to enjoy being a girl when you’re a toxic girl. The fact is, most young women in our culture are suffering from symptoms of moderate to extreme toxicity—physically, mentally, and reproductively. This is apparent enough in symptoms such as acne, migraines, and depression, but what many girls don’t know is that their levels of toxicity are also evident in their menstruation.

It’s a bizarre twist in human history that may foretell our extinction as a species: in an attempt to gain social acceptance and attract potential mates, young girls and women engage in self-care regimens that actually render them less fertile. The very products that women typically use today to enhance their appearance and well-being are undermining their beauty and rapidly deteriorating their health from the inside and out.

The modern woman, starting from a very young age, has become a commodity for corporations. She is a walking advertisement for lipstick, pantyhose, and three-inch heels. She is a stupendously good consumer—falling into line with all the modern myths of feminine beauty, in the service of countless products, fashion trends, and medical procedures. The average female body takes in countless toxins on a daily basis through unfit food and drink, pharmaceuticals and oral contraceptives, alcohol and other recreational drugs, chemical pollution and radiation, and environmental estrogens. These substances breed harmful bacteria, carbonic gas, and yeasts that build up in the body, creating all kinds of obstructions and wreaking havoc on the body’s natural cycles.

In short, we women are moving further and further away from the true meaning of health and beauty. More to the point,we are moving further and further away from what it means to be women. Just consider the rising rates of infertility. Infertility has become a widespread affliction of modern society, and it’s only getting worse. Granted, many women are waiting until later in life to have children, but this argument only goes so far. A healthy woman should be able to procreate for about thirty years—yet the average woman today is far from healthy. A profusion of reproductive health issues are occurring earlier and earlier in life, such as breast cancer, amenorrhea, uterine cysts, and thyroid imbalances. They all spring from a deep cultural ignorance. The cycles of the female body are breaking down under the heavy burdens of modern toxicity.

Over the course of human history, we women have been by turns worshipped, vilified, loved, and feared for our femininity. This is largely because women are endowed with the power to procreate. Whether you consider yourself an old-fashioned girl or a die-hard social feminist, the fact remains that the hallmark of our gender is fertility. Even if you have no interest in having babies right now, you still want to be radiant and healthy, right? Well, you cannot separate your overall health from the health of your reproductive system. Fertility is the ultimate indicator of health for a young woman, yet the way most women live today, it is slipping through their hands like sand through an hourglass!

Let’s consider this mother-daughter scene, which I recently saw in a movie: An eleven-year-old girl proudly announces the arrival of her first period to her mother. They are in the grocery store filling their cart with various mainstream feminine sanitary products. The girl then tosses a box of sugary cereal and milk into the cart as she and her mother continue down the aisles kveching about their bodies and the agony of calorie restrictions. They also talk about when the daughter may lose her virginity.

Now let’s look at this more closely: The modern girl who has just begun to menstruate has not been taught to draw any connection between her body and her spirit. She knows nothing about honoring her body, her womb, or her sacred sexuality. Her intuition has been prematurely cut off, and she is offered no life-generating sense of direction when it comes to caring for herself. She is left wide open to chemical toxins, insecurity, and harmful behavior patterns—all the messages that will cause her a lifetime of physical and emotional suffering. Don’t be surprised if in twenty-five years she’s shopping around for a plastic surgeon and a “fertility specialist”—or what passes for one these days! The young girl’s future is laid out right there in the grocery store with the tampons, the sugary cereals, the sexual misguidance, and her equally misguided mother.

Is it any wonder that so many young women suffer on account of their bodies, and end up struggling with infertility by the time they reach their twenties, thirties, and forties? As a society and a species, we are on a nonviable trajectory. The rising number of adults seeking infertility treatments is not just a question of age, but a result of so many years of defying Nature’s warnings. Think about it: if your body is trying to tell you that it’s not a viable home for hatching new life, do you really think it’s wise to override its message with more chemicals and synthetic hormones? Sure, you might be able to trick the body with science in the short term, but what are the ramifications in the long term? How much toxicity and mutation can a body—or a species—take? To continue along this trajectory at this rate is to play a very dangerous game indeed.

What’s a modern girl to do?

  • First she must take charge of her self-care regimen, questioning everything she’s ever been told by her elders, her peers, and the media. Surviving womanhood today with her beauty and health intact means braving a whole new frontier. The mainstream lifestyle is a recipe for a lifetime of unnecessary pain and disappointment. This calls for a paradigm shift—from the model she inherited to one that harks back to her feminine roots and honors fertility.
  • Second, she must understand that anything that carries toxins into her body will contaminate her blood and organs, and then will begin eating away at the integrity of her entire system—including her future offspring, should she ever bear fruit!
  • Third, she must recognize the direct connection between her menstrual cycles and symptoms and her future fertility. For example, excessively painful, premature, heavy, malodorous, or otherwise troublesome periods are cause for concern. (Sadly, acute PMS cramps, headaches, and acne breakouts are all considered normal and treated with over-the-counter drugs. Heavy bleeding is merely seen as bad luck. Rather than questioning what is causing all this mayhem, oral contraceptives are typically doled out to young women as an easy solution—often just leading to other imbalances and serious long-term risks!)
  • Fourth, she must develop a health and beauty regimen for herself that is distinctly life-generating—one that improves her blood chemistry and the vitality of her organs. This means cleansing the body and adopting a largely organic, vegetable-based diet with minimal acidic substances in her food and environment.

How much longer will mothers pass down to their daughters the conventional “wisdom” of their toxic lifestyles? How much longer will medical prescriptions and procedures masquerade as answers to deeper problems before we heed Nature’s warning signs?

We don’t even have to scratch the surface to see that we are poisoning ourselves: Consider the noxious odors that emanate from the arm pits, groin, mouth, and sweat of the average body. Notice the pimply, dull, or prematurely aging skin. Count the numbers of pills popped and sick days taken on account of painful cramps and heavy bleeding.

Women of wisdom, where have you gone? You know the answer is not in the drugstore aisles or at fancy fundraisers! This calls for a profound paradigm shift, a literal return to our bodies and what they are so desperately trying to tell us!

Above all, we must protect our blood chemistry from any further onslaught of environmental and chemical toxins, and we must teach our daughters the language of their bodies and reproductive systems. It is never too soon to do this. For instance, my ten-year-old daughter goes to a highly sought-after school, and I suspect she will choose to go to college one day. However, I would not consider her well educated if (a) she did not know how to care for her body, or (b) she were not highly literate in the language of Mother Nature. I owe it to her to give her all the knowledge that she needs not only to survive in the modern world, but to thrive in her body throughout her lifetime. Now is the time to lay a strong and healthy foundation.

Modern women today are far from liberated, at least not when it comes to our bodies. If we want to reclaim our health, we must reclaim our reproductive health. If we want a brighter future for ourselves, our children, and our children’s children, we have to make the world—and our bodies—a viable place for all of us to thrive. Every woman has a right to rejoice in the full power of her femininity!

Cancer: A Mystery?

According to a study from the American Cancer Society back in 2007, there were expected to be over 12 million new cancer cases and 7.6 million cancer deaths worldwide that year (about 200,000 cancer deaths a day). At this rate, we can expect that pretty soon almost everyone will be a candidate for some type of cancer. The major cancer associations and their researchers claim to be on a mission to eliminate cancer “through research, education, advocacy and service.” But from my vantage point, they are just spinning their wheels and wasting time, money, energy and human life. Anyone who understands life’s simple Natural Laws knows that cancer is the effect of modern living.

Cancer is not a mystery; it is an inevitability. The extent to which cancer ravages human cells, tissues, and organs is completely preventable. And it could easily have been predicted by anyone with a little common, cosmic sense more than a hundred years ago with the advent of the Industrial Revolution.

Cancer is the eating away of healthy human tissue by rogue microbes like bacteria, yeast, fungus and viruses. These rogue microbes are the decomposers of life and come into existence when conditions are not conducive to life (much as vultures, ants, flies, and other scavengers appear at the site of a carcass). The appearance of these microbes is a part of the natural, cosmic law of recycling energy.

It’s time to bring an end to the supposed quest for a cure for cancer in laboratories and the useless run/walks and pink ribbons. Cancer is a natural result of living in opposition to that which is life-generating—for the body and the planet. To put it another way, cancer is a natural result of saturating the body with substances, experiences, and environments that snuff the life out of it.

Cancer is not bad luck. It is the result of consistent defiance of life—making choices that lead to deterioration and death. Unfortunately, an ignorant plea will not save any of us from its clutches. To depend on doctors, health boards, research labs, and other misguided institutions is to forfeit responsibility for our own health. Apart from a growing group of conscious doctors who see the folly and corruption in their field, the medical approach can never solve the problem of cancer. The only way to resolve this plague is to maintain a body of clean cells and tissues—breathe clean air, drink clean water, and consume natural foods that leave the body efficiently to prevent accumulation and stagnation. For it is the stagnation of waste that breeds rogue microbes.

At this point, I would direct you to my blog on accumulation. First, you must understand how a body that becomes saturated with un-eliminated matter becomes a perfect breeding ground for pestilent feeders to overtake the healthy balance of the body’s terrains. Then you’ll clearly see how cancer is the end result of a lifetime’s accumulation of acidic waste matter and the undesirable life forms that feed on it.

Cancer begins at birth in the modern world. A baby is born into a world of non-life-generating substances, environments, and experiences. First there are the substances that clog the little body: formula, poor quality water, gluey grain-based foods, sugary cereals, milk, chicken, pork chops, soy chips, Veggie Booty, Pop Tarts, donuts, yogurt snacks, etc. This is the first stage of clogging that takes place in the early years. Of course, it just continues from there…fast food, meats, more dairy, more grain-based foods, more cheap packaged foods, diet foods, lifeless beverages, cigarettes, pharmaceutical and recreational drugs, and more poor quality water and air.

These things alone cause enough blockage and stagnation in the body to turn it into a walking septic system and overwhelm the good microbes in the body with the decomposing rogue microbes. In these first couple of decades the body is already well on its way to becoming so overrun by these harbingers of cancer that much of the organism’s healthy tissue is riddled with mucus, bacteria, yeast, and fungus. Ailments such as ear infections, flues, bronchitis, tonsillitis, and asthma indicate that these microbes are taking hold. The more they are given a chance to grow, the more they will take over the body. It’s kind of like the body is playing out what would have happened if we had lost WWII. Now, if we lived differently, following the rules of nature and never allowing these substances into our bodies, this would never occur. But the unconscious masses do not make this connection. We cannot live “normally” and expect to avoid cancer. Today, “normal” living at its very core goes against the laws of the body. Given the conditions of modern living, we should expect cancer, not be surprised by it.

Add to this the enclosed spaces that we were never meant to live in—from houses and offices circulating lifeless, stagnant air to the carbon dioxide and carbon monoxide that kill off healthy cells in our lungs (the largest internal organ) with every inhalation in and around cities and industrial areas. Oxygen is life. Our health and longevity is directly related to how much pure oxygen each cell receives.

The final straw that breaks the camel’s back is stress that comes not just from day-to-day pressures and deadlines but also from accumulated anxiety from early childhood. The family and community structure—with all its social expectations, fears, and general discord—is also based on a lot of erroneous, unconscious, accepted programs. It runs according to an assembly line of ages, stages, marriages and divorces, deterioration, old age homes and death.

These discordant feelings are bred into children, causing acidic emotions to flow through the body more abundantly than alkaline, harmonious emotions. All acid-forming substances—be they from food, drink, air, water, or emotions—contribute to the deterioration of the internal terrains. The acidic terrain is the ideal breeding ground for yeast, which, like weeds in a garden, choke the body and direct the infested organism to consume the sugars and starches the yeast feed on—contributing to the vicious cycle of accumulating substances that further clog the body.

As I discuss in my new book, Detox for Women (April ’09), people are exponentially more yeasted now than they were just five years ago. This explains why no diet seems to work anymore (however, in the book, I offer one that will). The very fact that this is occurring in conjunction with the phenomenon of cancer is clear as day. The “over-yeastedness” (which goes hand in hand with bacterial overgrowth) is the early warning sign of cancer. Cancer is just the fruition of a yeasted, bacteria-laden body. Cancer is the most mature stage of accumulated waste feeding rogue microbes until the tissue and organism approach full decomposition according to the cycle of life.

The body is always trying to protect its vital organs. It can live without healthy hair, teeth, nails, and bone, but not without a healthy liver, heart, lungs, or kidneys. So when the bacteria, yeast, or viruses get close to one or more vital organs, the body tries to protect the threatened organ by creating a boundary for the poisonous microbes and the waste they’re feeding on (which eventually permeates the intestine, reaching the internal organs). This boundary is a tumor. It’s like a little house for the dangerous mass. But this mass keeps growing if the organism does not heal, until the organ can no longer be protected from the mass and the rogue microbes begin to eat away at the organ. This is cancer.

The more the tissue of the organ is rendered “necrotic” (dead), the more the cancer has ravaged the organ/system. This explains why you’ll often hear of cancer spreading to other organs quickly. The body is one interconnected organism. Chances are, if the body is compromised enough to have one form of cancer, other parts of the body are similarly decomposing. (Note: the cancerous organ will reflect lifestyle habits—i.e., if one over-consumed cooked proteins, fats, alcohol and drugs, the liver will be the organ most inclined to suffer; if there were too many sugars and starches in the diet, the pancreas will be distressed; diabetes is a warning bell for cancer because it indicates that pancreatic function has already been compromised).

So now we know that our lifestyle is the cause of cancer. Cancer is the effect. Everything comes down to cause and effect. The problem with medical science’s approach to cancer is that it looks at cancer as a mystery with an unknown cause. It is no mystery, and I have to wonder why intelligent, highly educated people who command billions of dollars in research do not make this obvious connection. Is it ignorance or corruption? After all, cancer is a multi-billion-dollar business.

In my opinion, those who present themselves as doctors have a responsibility to dig for the truth, not simply uphold the system in which they were trained. At this point in our human downfall, there is no time for healers to be passive, ignorant, arrogant, or egotistical. Only the truth matters and will set us free. Both doctors and patients must avoid subscribing to systems that do not work. The former should be held accountable, and the latter will inevitably suffer if they do not learn, read, study and undertake the education of real health for themselves. The alternative is extinction. Moreover, we will miss out on all the joys of living in harmony with the Laws of Nature. Health is not the destination. Health is the gateway through which we can experience real life and higher states of humanity.

Perhaps the mainstream is beginning to get the message. Last week, this article in BBC online announced that the best cancer prevention is clean living. (To jump to the article, click here.) Who would have guessed it?

If your health has become severely compromised or you want to prevent cancer, the smartest thing you can do is initiate the removal of all the accumulation of unfit substances from your body that are feeding the rogue microbes. Do not overlook the importance of clean mountain or sea air, clean water, and a happy heart. I offer clear guidelines for tackling yeast in my audio Detox For Women (which is also applicable for many men) as well as in my book,Detox for Women.

Make no mistake, cancer is not a mystery. It is an obvious effect of the cause of “normal” living. The more you correct the blocks to the healthy flow of the body, the less your chances of having cancer. No one who lives according to the Laws of Nature gets cancer. Go have a run/walk—for life, for fun, for truth. Wear a pink ribbon—in your hair, because it’s pretty. Pssst! The mystery is solved. Pass it on…

Your Body: A Temple?

Many of you have heard the saying that our body is a temple. What does this mean exactly? The original concept carries a Biblical connotation because there is a text in the Bible which reads, “Or do you not know that your body is a temple of the Holy Spirit within you, whom you have from God?” (1 Corinthians 6:19-20) But the concept is not the exclusive domain of scripture or religion of any origin—it predates them. It is about the true purpose of the physical body.

It is essential for seekers of health and happiness to realize that health occurs only when the physical body is clear enough to function in its intended role for the Spirit. Health is not the numbers on a medical checkup sheet or the number on a scale. Health is when the physical body supports the Spirit’s journey through the world of form. The body is a vessel for the Spirit’s expression and experience in the material world. Therefore, when the body is clogged, the Spirit’s experience becomes compromised. The body becomes a liability rather than fulfilling its intended purpose as a vehicle for exploration.

Through the body, the Spirit is able to see, hear, touch, taste, emote, challenge physical boundaries, experience physical endurance, interact with others, and so much more. If you contaminate the body, you contaminate and handicap the Spirit. This accounts for so much of human suffering in contemporary society, but it is completely reversible if you simply know how!

I have often wished for a way to do more than educate and motivate people who are suffering, but we each must do it for ourselves and undertake to free our own Spirit—by literally helping it to re-member itself (put itself back together). I can help show you the way and guide by example, just as others have done for me. Once your vessel is clear and functional again and your Spirit can flow freely, you will discover your inherent power.

The Spirit, or Being, experiences the world of form through a system made up of the following four components, or energy centers:

1) The physical body (cells, tissues, organs, blood, lymph)
2) The will center (action and reaction stimulated by motivation)
3) The emotional/heart center (feeling and expressing feeling)
4) The mind (thinking, projecting thought)

We are truly healthy only when these four components are clear and functioning in the best interest of the Spirit (which is really the fifth component of Being). We need to cleanse them in this order, for as each component is cleansed, the next one automatically shifts for the better.

In my practice today, I rarely encounter a person who is clear on all these levels. Most of my clients are out of balance in the physical body, the will center, and the emotional center, and a growing number are also imbalanced in the mind center (or on the mental plane). What I have discovered is that reordering/cleansing the physical body has a dramatic healing effect on the other centers—so much so that I strongly encourage making deep tissue cleansing a first resort, or at the very least a tandem process with any other therapies, for those with imbalances in the other centers.

Hence, I have always stressed that it is more important to cleanse the body than to undertake talk therapy or other therapeutic modalities. We can make the most efficient strides by addressing the body’s distortions first. As the body clears, many of our emotional and mental disorders (anger, aggression, frustration, jealousy, moodiness, poor focus, etc.) also disappear. Any remaining imbalances, we can assume, are not directly related to the physical blockages, but rather rooted in our present or past life experiences.

We can trace the origins of our imbalances further back than within our own lifetimes. The corruption of the will center (the solar plexus energy center around the navel; the center of action and reaction), emotional center (the energy center in the heart), and mind (the energy center in the brain) occurred over eons of generations living out of alignment with our true nature. (Some refer to this as “the fall.”)

Once out of alignment, we made more and more choices that further alienated us from our true origins. We started mistaking harmful behaviors and substances for appealing behaviors and substances, and in our distorted rearview mirror, we lost track of the path back home—which now appeared boring and difficult compared to the material indulgences ahead. We were like kids in a candy store, grabbing all the colorful sweets by the fistful, not pausing to reflect or anticipate the stomach aches until after we’d stuffed ourselves sick!

Eventually, however, we were consuming these unfit substances with regularity, disturbing the flow of our life force energy (Spirit) and deeply contaminating our cells and tissues with indigestible waste. The consequent stagnation of the Spirit manifested in slower metabolisms, organ dysfunction, and bacterial imbalances…which, of course, led to moodiness and a dramatic loss of vitality.

We passed along these physical, emotional, and mental imbalances to our children, who in turn would pass them along to their own children, and so on. Over the generations, the collective imbalances have intensified into much more severe manifestations of physical, willful, and emotional expression—such as extreme illness, abuse, depression, repression, and rage. We’ve learned that in order to feel good, we must consume “candy” and seek approval from the outside world. We are like drug addicts, mainlining toxins into our bodies.

At this stage, mankind has completely lost touch with its self-sovereignty. When the snowballing imbalances reach the mental plane and the mind becomes increasingly distorted, we turn to medical experts and institutions. However, when we try to fix mental and emotional disorders through drugs or traditional therapy, we ignore their root cause: a physical vessel being thrown so far off course that physical imbalances penetrated the emotional plane so deeply, they wound up on the mental plane.

In a generation so mired in physical and emotional imbalances, it is high time we take an honest look at the origins of these imbalances. As we cleanse the physical organism first, allowing residue of blockages to dissolve, our actions tip back into balance (the will), our emotions heal (the heart), and any mental disorders (the mind) finally lift, leaving the body clear and harmonious for the Spirit.

Self-help books, psychology, chakra balancing, and other new age therapies can help support your efforts, but they will not get to the core of your imbalances if you do not use them in tandem with deep tissue cleansing. Clearing the muck out of the physical body through cell/tissue cleansing is the necessary first step, and it will work wonders if you proceed intelligently.

Once you cleanse the physical body, you can correct any remaining imbalances by cleansing the emotional or will centers. If you attempt this in the reverse order, you will spend untold time and effort to heal many ills that only need physical cleansing. My friend and colleague Gil Jacobs will tell you it happens all the time: someone will get on the colonic table feeling irritable and upset about some outside circumstance, and then, when the waste and gas pressure have left the body, feels happy, calm and untroubled. So much of our emotional experience is due to our physical obstruction!

Remember, your body is a vessel of your Spirit’s journey through this life. Cleanse each level of the Spirit, starting with the physical and working your way right on up to the mental plane, clearing all the blockages to the pureness of your true Being.

In Divine Balance,
Natalia

Eat for Simplicity

If you are interested in diet, health, raw foods, or any offshoot of the detox lifestyle, you must understand the beauty of simplicity. No matter what level of health you are coming from—be it decades of raw or right off the hot dog cart—the quickest, most painless route to health and weight loss is extreme simplicity in your diet.

To practice extreme simplicity, you must ignore all the labels like “raw” or “vegan” or “vegetarian” and focus on foods that move through the body easily, or what I call Quick Exit foods. This boils down to the following foods and food combinations:

• Fresh vegetable juices (ideally on an empty stomach either for breakfast or in the late afternoon)
• Fresh vegetables (as a raw salad, whole, or steamed with a little organic butter and sea salt if desired)
• Avocados (with a raw salad for lunch)
• Baked (and raw) root vegetables like parsnip, butternut squash, and sweet potato (try these wholesome comfort veggies for dinner with your raw salad with a little organic butter, sea salt, and agave)
• Raw goat’s milk cheeses (use it liberally with raw and cooked vegetables)
• Fresh fish (ideally wild/organic, enjoyed along with a raw salad and steamed low-starch vegetables like broccoli, mushrooms, nightshades, leafy greens, etc.)

These foods, while not all “raw” or “vegan” by definition, are the easiest to digest when properly combined per the instructions in my books, enabling the body to release the built-up waste matter that’s causing your ailments and excess weight. I deliberately omitted fresh and dried fruits, nuts, and grains because nuts and grains are very dense and difficult to digest, and both fresh and dried fruits can create a lot of carbonic gas in a body that’s awakening old waste matter. The discomforts and symptoms that come with transitioning to a raw diet are usually caused by abundant intake of those foods.

If you’re sailing along smoothly while indulging in raw nuts, grains, and fruits, by all means keep doing it. But if you are have trouble boosting your energy, losing weight, or reaping other benefits that the raw world promises, it is time to practice the beauty of simplicity. It solves the problem every time!

Remember, whether you are a beginner or a lifelong raw devotee, simple food from its source, in the simplest combinations possible, is the secret to cleaning your cells and lightening up! Labels do not matter. What matters is that the food you eat moves rapidly through your body. Accept this simplicity and you will overcome every dietary puzzle and will experience the true bliss of a clean, harmonious, energized body!

Don’t get caught up in complicated raw/vegan concoctions like nut-patés, tempeh, soy foods, grain mixtures, and dense desserts—all of which lead to gas, gas and more gas, along with reduced energy and a heavy burden on the intestines. This is not to prohibit you from enjoying these raw/vegan gourmet items in small amounts if you really love them. Just don’t kid yourself into thinking they are healthy and energizing or support your weight loss efforts.

Remember, simplicity trumps all. You don’t need unusual, hard-to-find items that mimic mainstream fare in raw or vegan form to succeed. In fact, you can easily find the simple foods listed above at restaurants or prepare them at home.

The goal of working toward a raw diet is to eventually feel completely content and satisfied with some fresh raw fruits and vegetables—not to require huge volumes of raw nuts and grains. Don’t fall for the marketing of so-called health foods by building your diet around the denser, more complicated raw products.

Until you are truly ready—emotionally, socially, and physiologically—to embrace a diet of 95% (or more) of simple fruits and vegetables, you are much better off bending to include steamed or baked vegetables, raw goat cheese, and even the occasional piece of fish. Do not place unrealistic pressure on yourself. Raw is not a race. Nor is it a goal unto itself. The goal is joyful, clean, vibrantly oscillating cells, which comes from eating simply, eliminating fully, and treating yourself and others with loving devotion.

Do you see the difference, my friends? Forget all the raw, vegan, and vegetarian dogma. Simple foods, whether cooked or raw, in simple combinations, is the fastest, most effective way to cleanse and rejuvenate.

Guided Meditation: Another Way to Raise Your Vibrations

If you are looking for non-dietary ways to raise your vibrations and become more peaceful, I highly recommend guided meditation. It always leaves me deeply relaxed yet surprisingly revived afterward. Those of you who are not excited by the idea of sitting in a lotus position and following your breath will love this approach.

I actually recommend lying down for optimal results. Lying down allows you to go into the deepest meditative states because no thought or effort is required to hold your body up. This approach can also be a doorway to traditional meditation, which is also useful at certain stages. Expect an intensely enjoyable experience as you start to connect with your true nature. These meditations leave you feeling unburdened, refreshed, and enlightened, and improve sleep as they awaken your mind and heart for what is to come.

Moreover, doing a simple meditation before eating helps remove so much of the pressure that causes us to over-consume. Overeating is often the result of feeding the body from the intense, spinning energy of the brain. Our eating habits reflect our thinking. If you practice meditation during the times of day when you typically binge or eat a large meal, you will find yourself eating much more slowly and recognizing when you have had enough.
